March 2013 - Newsletter

Hi ladies!

Cold enough for everybody out there?    (Ah, the old "cold enough for ya" bit - classic.)

Anyways, I hope everybody had a great February - although everybody I talk to seems to exclaim in unison, "It's almost March already?!" 

Yes, almost March already, and here is our newsletter:   

• This weekend is pot blessing.  If you don't already know, the theme is "Mexican food".   Service is needed in the kitchen this weekend helping with pot blessing.  As we know, Candy often does a great deal of the helping in the kitchen during pot blessing, but she will simultaneously be serving with worship this particular weekend - so please let Candy know if you can help.  (The helpers need to come to church a little early, so please plan on that if you are volunteering.)   For any questions, or if you would just like to call and touch base to let her know you will be helping, Candy's number is:  279-3724

•  Service is also needed with making crafts for the upcoming retreat.  Those who would like to help will be meeting tomorrow (Friday, the 1st) at Ron/Sally Lee's home: 1708 Main St. (in Kingman) at 10am.  No need to bring anything other than your "elbow grease".  If you have other questions, contact Sally @ 279-4490 

I haven't so far received anything else to add, but if you have something to add, please e-mail me and I will be sure to get it out there!  The things you send do not HAVE to be added to the newsletter right before the beginning of the month.  If it is something that is not time sensitive and can easily be added to the newsletter, I do appreciate the courtesy - but this is also meant to be a way we can get information out there.  Tell us about your yard sale this weekend, tell us about that tote of white Christmas lights that are still good but you want to give away...(seriously people, I'm helping with my brother's wedding and we need lights...)

You know...stuff like that.  (Again, though - the newsletter is more for information, and if you have a prayer request, those would go towards the church.  There is a separate e-mail that is sent out for prayer warriors.)
